The overview of all seven roles and the one rule, in Rosvinder’s own words. Captions are on.

The LEARNERS AI Framework

Seven roles AI can play in your classroom.

The child is the light. AI is the prism. A prism can spread, sharpen and reveal light, but it can’t make any. Seven roles, seven colours, and without the light there is no rainbow.

L · Learn: AI as Tutor

The child tries first. AI explains only the gap.

Kit: TEACH · out now

What it looks like

AI explains concepts and ideas at the learner’s pace, adjusting its level to whoever is in the room.

The shortcut

Letting AI explain everything, receiving it passively, and calling that studying.

The thinking version

Use the explanation as a starting point, then test it, question it and teach it back until it holds.

In a real classroom

28 students, and 8 didn’t know what a numerator was. Mdm Farhana set an AI tutor to question before it explained.
The TEACH kit is out. Five ways in: lead it, read it, watch it, teach it, pin it.
E

E · Examine: AI as Teammate

AI argues back, so students test their own ideas.

Kit: TEAM · out Thu 22 Oct

What it looks like

AI challenges assumptions and introduces perspectives the learner has not yet considered.

The shortcut

Asking AI to confirm what you already think, and calling that critical thinking.

The thinking version

Ask it to disagree with you, and sit with the discomfort long enough to see whether your position holds.
The TEAM kit is out Thu 22 Oct.
A

A · Articulate: AI as Student

Students teach AI, and their thinking becomes visible.

Kit: ECHO · out Thu 29 Oct

What it looks like

Learners teach AI and clarify their own ideas in the process. Explaining forces a clarity that reading alone never demands.

The shortcut

Asking AI to explain your concept back to you, cleaned up and polished.

The thinking version

Do the teaching yourself, and let AI play the student who needs it explained.

In a real classroom

Hamzah was stuck and wanted the answer handed to him. Teaching AI what he did know showed him the gap, and he found it himself.
The ECHO kit is out Thu 29 Oct.
R

R · Reflect: AI as Coach

AI asks the questions. The student does the thinking.

Kit: MIRROR · out Thu 5 Nov

What it looks like

AI prompts reflection on strategies and reasoning, asking questions rather than providing answers.

The shortcut

Asking AI to tell you how well you did.

The thinking version

Ask AI to ask you how you think you did, and be honest enough to answer properly.

In a real classroom

Priya wrote a confident, correct speech that never once thought about the man himself. One question from AI showed her what her certainty had hidden.
The MIRROR kit is out Thu 5 Nov.
N

N · Negotiate: AI as Simulator

Rehearse the hard conversation before it is real.

Kit: SPAR · out Thu 12 Nov

What it looks like

AI generates discussions, debates and interviews so learners can practise high-stakes conversations before they are real.

The shortcut

Asking AI to write the script for the conversation you need to have.

The thinking version

Rehearse until the words are genuinely yours and the confidence is not borrowed.
The SPAR kit is out Thu 12 Nov.
E

E · Evaluate: AI as Mentor

Honest feedback the student decides what to do with.

Kit: CRAFT · out Thu 19 Nov

What it looks like

AI gives substantive feedback on writing and arguments: not flattery, but critique learners can interrogate.

The shortcut

Accepting the first draft AI gives you.

The thinking version

Argue back until the thinking in the draft is actually yours.
The CRAFT kit is out Thu 19 Nov.
R

R · Represent: AI as Tool

The thinking comes first. AI only helps organise it.

Kit: SHAPE · out Thu 26 Nov

What it looks like

AI helps organise, summarise and structure what the learner has already built, so they can see its shape.

The shortcut

Letting AI generate the structure, then moving into a house you did not build.

The thinking version

Do the thinking first, then use AI to make the architecture of your own ideas visible.
The SHAPE kit is out Thu 26 Nov.
S

S · Source of thinking

The one rule: the child thinks first.

The child is the light; AI is only the prism. It can spread, sharpen and reveal the thinking, but it can’t make any. No light, no rainbow.

“
I personally appreciate how the seminar openly discussed the limitations and concerns about AI instead of only focusing on its advantages. At the same time, I found it very helpful that practical solutions were also shared, especially the importance of communication, collaboration, and responsible use of AI. The discussion gave me a better understanding of how AI can support us while still valuing human interaction and critical thinking.
